FULL DETAILS OF THE FESTIVAL BELOW:

The 19th annual Perch, Peach, Pierogi and Polka Festival will be held Labor Day weekend in downtown Port Clinton at the Denny Bergeman Hall, located at 109 East Perry Street. The event begins on Friday, August 30th with great food, fun and fantastic polka music and continues through Sunday, September 1st . The festival will be open from 4pm to 9:30pm on Friday and from 11am until 9:30pm on both Saturday and Sunday.

Once again, perch sandwiches and dinners will be served along with pierogis and delicious peach pie with Toft’s ice cream. Polish sausage sandwiches will also be available. Soft drinks, adult beverages and ice cold beer will be sold in the beer tent. All food items are also available for carryout.

The festival entertainment begins on Friday with music from the Frank Stanger Polka Band, playing from 5pm to 9pm. We welcome Frank Stanger this year as a new act to the festival, but he certainly isn’t new to the world of polka, playing for fans throughout the country for over five decades. His band was chosen “Band of the Year” twice at the Polka Hall of Fame Awards Show in 2014 and 2015, the only polka band ever to have accomplished such a feat. In 2016, Frank himself was voted “Musician of the Year” by the membership of the Polka Hall of Fame.

Performing Saturday from 12pm to 4pm will be the Anthony Culkar Band. Specializing in polka and a large variety of American favorites, they have performed at many dance halls and private parties, as well as a number of festivals throughout Ohio and other states. In 2019 the band was nominated by the Cleveland Style Polka Hall of Fame for the Band of the Year and Recording of the Year.

The Frank Moravcik Band will play the evening hours Saturday from 5pm to 9pm. Based in Cleveland, their emphasis is on “Cleveland Style” polka, but they are also known for their ability to play a wide variety of polka styles and even other popular dance tunes. Having received nominations for Band of the Year and Album of the Year, Frank and the band have been honored numerous times by various organizations including the National Cleveland Style Polka Hall of Fame. The music of Frank Moravcik has been heard at venues throughout the country and even internationally.

Music on Sunday will continue with the Eddie Rodick Orchestra from 12pm to 4pm. Having been awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award for the National Polka Hall of Fame, Eddie returns to the festival for the ninth time, along with his band of outstanding musicians. Eddie has played accordion for over 40 years and has performed with his orchestra throughout the Unites States and abroad.

Wrapping up this year’s festival once again will be the Duane Malinowski Orchestra, performing Sunday from 5pm to 9pm. Based in Toledo, Duane has stayed true to his Polish heritage. His orchestra is a solid group and once you see them, you’ll know they love what they do!

Admission to the festival for adults is $8.00 per day or $20.00 for the entire weekend. Anyone under the age of 18 is free. The facility is protected from the elements and will continue rain or shine. Everyone is invited to join us for this fun filled weekend!

WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU THIS YEAR!
